The temple, which is located at an elevation of 2312 metres above sea level, dates back 350 years and is just 1 kilometre from Mukteshwar market. Once you arrive, you will note the temple's plain and minimalist architecture, which features a beautifully carved Shivling surrounded by idols of Vishnu, Brahma, Ganesh, Parvati, Hanuman, and Nandi.
