Ranikhet is a town in Uttaranchal's northern state of Uttaranchal, in the Kumaon mountains. Ranikhet, which literally means "the queen's lands," is a miniature version of heaven on Earth. It is located in Uttaranchal, at a height of 6000 feet above sea level. Ranikhet is enthralling, with thick forests, deodar and pine trees in the foreground and a never-ending set of Himalayas sweeping in the backdrop.

Golf Course: Ranikhet's Golf Course is the country's second-largest natural golf course today. It's a nine-hole course that's one of Ranikhet's most famous attractions. The Ranikhet Golf Course is near to a temple dedicated to Goddess Kalika.

 

Jhula Devi: Goddess Durga is honoured at Jhula Devi, a temple dedicated to her. This temple dates back over 800 years. It is said that if an individual requests anything and receives it, he should ring a bell in the temple. Another temple dedicated to Lord Ram is located very next to the Jhula Devi temple.

 

Chaubattia Garden: Chaubattia Garden is a world-renowned apple orchard that is also known for its apple plant breeding. During the season, fresh fruit juice and other beverages can be purchased from the outlet's counters. The research laboratory, which is situated here, is a must-see attraction. The Chaubattia garden also offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayan ranges.

 

Haidakhan temple: In the town of Chiliyanaula, about 4 kilometres from Ranikhet, is the Haidakhan temple. Shri Haidakhan Maharaj, who is said to be Lord Shiva's incarnation, founded the Hairakhan temple. One can also get a great view of the Himalayan valley from here. This location is also close to the GD Birla Memorial School.

 

Binsar Mahadev: Binsar Mahadev Temple is about 15 kilometres from Ranikhet. It is surrounded by a beautiful and fresh water stream. Binsar Mahadev is surrounded by cedar forests in addition to the temple.

 

Dronagiri and Pandavkholi : Dronagiri, a 1,100-year-old temple, is 52 kilometres from Ranikhet. According to legend, when Laxman was wounded by Medhnath's arrow during the Ram Ravan war, Hanuman was sent to the Himalayas to retrieve Sanjivani buti. This buti slipped from his grasp and landed where the Dronagiri now stands. The famous cave of Pandavkholi, about 5 kilometres ahead of Dronagiri, is described in Lahiri Mahashay's famous autobiography of a Yogi.

 

Baijnath Temple: Around 70 kilometres from Ranikhet is the Baijnath temple. Within the temple, there is a stone statue of Goddess Parvathi. This temple is a stunning example of ancient architecture. You can also feed a large number of fish here, but keep in mind that fishing is strictly prohibited in this region.

 

Katarmal (Sun Temple): A stunning trek leads to one of the country's two Sun temples, about 25 kilometres from Ranikhet. If you don't feel like trekking all the way up, you can also drive, but this will not take you all the way to the temple. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protects and preserves this beautifully constructed temple, which was built in the 12th century.

Dwarahat: Dwarahat is about 37 kilometres from Ranikhet. It is a popular tourist destination in Kumaon. It was once the Katyuri rulers' power centre in the 16th century.
